Football Fits: The Jacket

I was afraid to write this post on Sunday, the day of the Wild Card game for my beloved Cincinnati Bengals. I’m not sure if you can call it superstitious or just plain crazy, but I thought if I wrote this post before the game, they wouldn’t win.

Well we did win, but barely. Now, I realize I still have to turn this in before the next game even starts. Not to bore you with Alexandria Stylebook’s operations, but we turn all of our pieces in a week before they run. People don’t realize how much work it takes to organize and produce the daily email, but it requires a ton of time. So, anything that runs the week of January 23 is due on January 18! This means that the Bills and Bengals will have played before this piece is live. Well, let's hope when you read this we are headed to the AFC Championship Game!

So, week two of our Football Fits series is all about the jacket. There is no shortage of looks with jackets – especially a good bomber jacket. These men also don’t shy away from color or leather. And, of course, neither do Ali, Alicia, or Megan. I knew the white, oversized, leather button-down would be Ali’s pick. She could have walked in the door wearing the outfit she styled! Then, Alicia hit it out of the park in her Isabel Marant inspired look. I had to get the socks after seeing her photos. Megan, of course, brought the “hawt” to the shoot. She pulled off the bomber jacket and paired it with another player favorite, cargos. I picked these pants as a Monday Musing a few weeks ago, and they are my favorite denim in the store right now. If you need an upgrade or some new denim in your wardrobe, these are the perfect option.

Once again, the fashion show before the games this past weekend didn’t disappoint, and neither did our photo shoot. I can’t wait to see what we come up with for next week, and let’s hope my team is still in the running. Can I get a “Who Dey?”
