Gigi New York and Graphic Image Trunk Show

We took a little bit of a breather from events at the both stores but now we are ready to get back at it! And what better way than with a repeat of the first trunk show we ever had…Gigi New York. But this year it isn’t just Gigi New York - we are bringing in Graphic Image as well.Graphic Image is actually where the brand started back in 1969. The current owner’s father, Bennet Glazer, was a book designer and typographer. Known for its quality and price, Graphic Image makes products for some of the world’s finest companies like Harrod’s of London, Tiffany New York and Itoya of Tokyo. You might not recognize the brand, but you will recognize its products like date books, journals, and frames. Here is why I love this company and why I love entrepreneurs. Back in 2010 there was this little thing called a recession. Then there was this other little thing that had been happening, technology, and so date books and journals became less popular because of smart phones. So, they realized they needed to adapt and create new products. Gigi New York was the result with purses and tote bags in great shapes, colors, and of course a variety of interesting leathers. Then they decided to use personal device technology, the very thing that was hurting them, to help them grow their business. They took to social media before it was as big as it is today and helped the brand build recognition. Don’t you love people who look for solutions? They turned a negative into a positive. So come join us Friday, November 1 for our annual Gigi New York and now Graphic Image trunk show. All items will be 20 percent off and of course that will include free monogramming. This fall Gigi has some great new shapes and prints. We also made sure we have a great selection of gifts under $100. Come stock up and get your holiday shopping done early.  And let’s be honest, don’t you still love a great leather date book or journal? I feel like I commit things to memory when I write them down instead of type them in. It’s a bigger mental engagement and I need that. I realize I might hide from technology more than most, but to me there is no better gift.
