It's Time To Update Your Fall Denim

Earlier this week, we let everyone know that Ranger Stitch, the embroiderer, is coming to The Hive. We are just a tad bit excited. But as I mentioned, that is not the only thing happening. We are hosting a Citizens of Humanity and AGOLDE Trunk Show as well. By far our most popular denim lines, we thought these were the perfect brands to pair with our embroidery event. Not only are they great jeans, but they are sending us denim shirts and jackets that are also perfect for personalization. I pre-ordered my denim shirt and got my unofficial nickname, "Fancy," on the back. It quickly has become my favorite item of clothing.

Not only do Citizens and AGOLDE have great products, but they also have a great person who helps us out, Griffin. She will be in store on Friday, and we are so happy to have her back. She was one of our original trunk shows when we opened six years ago. It's only fitting she helps us celebrate one year in our new space.

She will bring styles we don't have on hand and will be able to help us order cuts in different colors and washes. Both lines have so many new styles this year that it will be hard to pick.

I feel like every fall you need a new pair of jeans. It is such an easy way to update your wardrobe - and we all wear jeans more than anything else in our closet. We asked one of The Hive's supermodels, Courtney, to help us show some of the newest trends in denim. And don't worry, you can still wear your skinny jeans. It is about what you feel comfortable in and what makes you feel like yourself. So don't toss away any of your old styles if you love them, but maybe try something new just for some variety.

We hope to see you Friday or Saturday. It is going to be such a fun weekend.

Owner | The Hive and The Shoe Hive

I spent the first part of my career as a copywriter who helped elected officials brag about their support for entrepreneurs. Then I decided to get off the printed page and do it myself. The Shoe Hive made a splash on the fashion scene in Washington, and was named the region’s best shoe store in its first year. Fourteen years later, I have tripled the store’s size and also opened a sister store, The Hive.  At The Hive, we offer clothing lines that are sophisticated and approachable like Rag & Bone, Tibi, Raquel Allegra, Ulla Johnson and Veronica Beard. We have tried to fill our racks with clothing you will want to wear all the time, elevated basics that are worth the investment.
