As I mentioned in an earlier post, shoes don’t seem to be on the top of everyone’s shopping list. There is something many people have inquired about though, loungewear. Yes, we have Sundry and some other great “casual” pieces. We also just introduced active, but people are looking for true loungewear that you sleep in. Okay, I’ll admit I sleep in SoulCycle sweatpants, but this is going to change all that. I would like to introduce you to Skin now at The Shoe Hive.Skin is truly made for inside, but there are some pieces you can wear outside - at least to the mailbox or maybe to walk the dog around the block. Personally, I want something I can wear that is a little more covered up. It has to pass the test of “if my family were in town would I want to sit around in front of them in it and not be falling out,” or “if my son’s friend knocks on the door, I don’t need to run upstairs and put on clothes.” Well, in my opinion, Skin checks all these boxes. The t-shirts and tanks I would also wear layered under a blazer or cardigan.When I was researching lines, Skin jumped out at me because, first and foremost, it was started and is still run by a female owner, Susan Beischel. Second, everything written about the line talks about the soft fabrics, organic cotton materials, and the sophisticated and versatile silhouettes.I can’t wait to share more of the collection with you.
