Street Style: Meet Madisen Reid Beider of Alexandria Moms Passport
If you have spent time with Madisen Reid Beider, you already know: she is the kind of person who doesn't wait for the right moment — she creates it. She has built a career out of knowing what people need before they know it themselves, and her latest venture is no different. As the founder of Alexandria Moms Passport, Madisen is redefining what it means to explore motherhood in Alexandria and has created a platform that feels less like a follow and more like a friendship.
Madisen grew up in the suburbs of North Dallas, shaped by a household that understood both ambition and entrepreneurship. Her father built a career at IBM and her mother built her own business. From an early age, Madisen had an innate drive, and with that, established her own blueprint, convinced she wouldn't follow anyone else's path.
In college at Southern Methodist University, she was a tour guide, student council member, and deeply embedded in campus life across every corner. It was there that she first considered building a career in public relations, drawn in by the idea of becoming an architect of a brand. "To see something come to fruition from beginning to end," she says, "was something I was always attracted to."
That ambition led her to Weber Shandwick in Dallas and eventually presented an opportunity to move to the D.C. office, where she found her way to the accounts her heart was after: food and beverage. With brands like Papa John's and Coca-Cola that had her traveling to music festivals in Miami and Chicago, Madisen hit her stride and was making an impact on the brand world around her — but as it turned out, the city had more in store for her than just a career.

It was in D.C. where her life truly began. She met her husband in the summer of 2019, and by 2021, the two were expecting their first child. Collins arrived in November of that year after a difficult pregnancy that left Madisen on bedrest, but thankfully, with a healthy baby. From the moment she became a mom, Madisen saw everything differently. After continuing to grow her career at award-winning PR agencies, and having her second child, Charlie, she eventually wanted to step away from the craziness of agency life and experience a change of pace.
Her mom, an entrepreneur, had an opening at her company in business development that required skills Madisen could transfer perfectly. The flexibility that came with that was the gift she hadn't known she needed — especially now, with a third baby due in May. "I just knew I needed a change," she says. "And that shift gave me the space to actually think about what I really wanted to build."
What she wanted to build, it turned out, was something for moms like herself. In February of 2026, she launched Alexandria Moms Passport — a resource that meets mothers where they actually are: overwhelmed, overstimulated, and hungry for community but unsure where to start.
Because of that, she filtered Alexandria entirely through a mother's lens. The kind of details that determine whether a mom actually walks out the door or talks herself out of it before she even gets there.
“The passport concept at its core is about making your own backyard feel like somewhere worth exploring,” she says. “Turning a local coffee shop into a destination, a neighborhood restaurant into a memory, and an ordinary afternoon into something that gets moms out of the house and into each other's lives.”
The growth was immediate, and within a month and a half, she surpassed 1,000 followers. With social media content that celebrates and uplifts local moms who have stories that inspire others, she's continuing to deliver content Alexandria moms desire.
The in-person side is equally intentional, and an area she's excited to grow with events designed to be both meaningful and fun – The first of which is scheduled for April 17 from 4PM - 7PM. "If it's not something I would leave the house for," she says with a laugh, "I'm not doing it."
What started as a passion project has quickly become something Alexandria moms have been missing. For Madisen, that has always been the point. Not the followers, not the partnerships, but the mom who finally leaves the house because she knew exactly where to go and made new friends and memories along the way.
"I never want to produce something that's just for me," she says. "It's so that other moms don't have the same struggles I did."
If there is such a thing as a mom who can do it all, Madisen Reid Beider is a pretty convincing case, but more importantly, she's making other moms around Alexandria feel like they can do it all too. That is the legacy she is building – And she’s just getting started.

STYLE
Define your style in three words or less: Versatile/Mix-and-Match, Feminine, Approachable
The go-to piece in your wardrobe: At 32 weeks pregnant with two active toddlers, I’m either working from home, on the go, or heading to a barre or mat Pilates class—so leggings are a staple. I love layering and finishing the look with everyday jewelry to feel a bit more put together.
Favorite trend: A large carryall bag with all the pockets insight—I basically carry my entire life in it, and I wouldn’t have it any other way (no matter how heavy it gets!).
Beauty product you can’t live without: Grace & Stella under eye masks and LumiDew Ceramic Guasha
Boots, dress shoes or sneakers? Sneakers or a versatile flat!
WELLNESS
Go-to way to de-stress: Alone time, treating myself to a coffee, and dropping into a group class at The St. James.
Favorite way to stay active: Walks, group glasses (barre, mat pilates, sculpt), running around with the littles.
Wellness goal: Drink more water! When everything in me wants another sip of coffee.
Want to try: Mahjong!! It’s been on my “one day, when I have time” list.
Proudest wellness achievement: Making fitness a priority over the past three years—for myself, my mental wellness, my kids, and to feel my best overall.
HOME
Favorite room in your home: My favorite room in our home is also the most chaotic—our living room. It’s where we spend time together as a family and where my husband and I unwind with our favorite shows once the kids are asleep. It truly feels like the heart of our home.
Antiques, modern, or a mix? A mix. There’s something special about blending meaningful, collected pieces with clean, modern design.
Last item you bought for your home: A smart digital calendar!
Favorite way to entertain: I love hosting around birthdays and holidays - those moments when memories are made with family and the friends we welcome into our home.
Clutter-free or well-lived in? At heart, I crave a clutter-free space, but I’m learning to accept that it’s not entirely realistic in this season of life. I’m choosing to embrace the mess and remember it’s just a chapter—one that makes it all the more meaningful.
Next planned purchase: We just purchased another car - perfect timing for baby #3! I love that we now have two Volvos, giving us the flexibility to divide and conquer while keeping our little ones safe in a brand we trust.
ALEXANDRIA
What do you love about Alexandria Stylebook? I love Alexandria Stylebook’s dedication to celebrating all things Alexandria - the vibrant community, thriving local businesses, and the people who make it such a unique and welcoming place to call home.
Favorite spot in Alexandria: The Old Town Waterfront! With its views, parks, restaurants, seasonal events, and endless people-watching, it’s the perfect spot to linger with the whole family.
Your go-to shop: It’s not a single shop, but many! The Old Town Farmers Market has been a favorite of mine for years. I love finding local gems and having a one-stop-shop to support various small businesses with every visit.
Best food spot: Mia’s Italian Kitchen for literally every meal - brunch, lunch, dinner, I can never go wrong.
Favorite local organization(s): I’ve long admired the Junior League of Northern Virginia from afar for the incredible impact they have on local communities - from supporting educational initiatives and family programs to fostering volunteerism and meaningful connections across Northern Virginia. Having been a member of the Junior League of DC years ago, I know firsthand the power of the community they create. I hope to get involved with the NOVA chapter once the timing is right - it’s inspiring to see an organization that combines purpose, service, and connection so beautifully.
Annual Alexandria event you most look forward to: Shameless plug - I’m so excited for my own! I’m truly grateful (and a little surprised) by how quickly Alexandria Moms Passport has grown over the past two months. I can’t wait to partner with a local business to host my first in-person social event for moms and their littles this April - just the first of many to come!
What motto/quote do you live by? “You can do it all, just not all at once.”
