The Hive's Spring Lookbook Is Live! See the 5 Trends You'll Want the Spring

Now it is time to unveil our second lookbook of the season: Spring 2019 at The Hive! Just like The Shoe Hive lookbook, I write and send this post with a little bit of trepidation. But I realized people want to know what is coming soon. The last few weekends at my kids’ basketball games and piano lessons, I have had different folks ask me about what was going to be coming in for spring, so I sense some anticipation.I think we all are dreaming of warmer days and seeing bright colors and lighter fabrics gives us all a little hope. I mean Punxsutawney Phil didn’t see his shadow a few weeks back which means we should be in for an early spring. And yes, I think this groundhog is better – or at least no worse – than Accuweather. So here is what you can expect to see hanging on our shelves (some of it is already steamed and on our hangers) these next few months. Look for more Stylebook posts soon to show more looks from these trends.

The Five Spring Trends

Chinos: These are a great alternative to jeans, we have chinos in every shape and style. The Rag & Bone style is already flying off the shelves, they’re so comfortable and a great option if you don’t like to wear shorts.Stripes: So many stripes! Racer stripes on jeans and pants and nautical stripes on t-shirts and sweaters are all over the spring collections. My favorite addition to this trend is rainbow stripes. Bright and happy, you can find them all over on dresses and cover-ups and as an accent on sweaters.Florals: Spring wouldn’t be spring without floral prints. The Veronica Beard suit was number one on my personal must-have list.Camo: Usually camo if big for fall but this spring, it is everywhere.Pastels: The softest and most subtle pastels are in many collections. Of course there is pale pink, but both Tibi and Sea used the most beautiful sage green for jumpers, dresses, and blouses.
