Frank & Eileen: A Closet Staple Worth the Hype
A few weeks ago, I was driving up to Long Island with a friend when I noticed she was wearing a Frank & Eileen popover shirt. I complimented her on it, and she casually said, “You should really carry this brand.” I laughed and told her, “I already do!” That moment made me pause—she shops at The Hive all the time, but somehow didn’t realize we carry Frank & Eileen.
Then, just days later, I stopped by another friend’s house and spotted a package on her doorstep—from Frank & Eileen. I handed it to her and mentioned, again, “We carry this line at The Hive!” She was surprised and said she ordered the shirt on a recommendation because she wears it constantly. It wasn’t the same style as the popover shirt, but clearly just as beloved.
After two back-to-back lightbulb moments, I realized it might be time to rethink how we showcase Frank & Eileen in the shop. I’d carried many of these pieces before, but maybe they were getting lost among other button-downs. So I decided to expand the collection and make it easier to shop.
Tricia and Lee, if you’re reading this—your favorite shirts are here! We now have the Patrick Popover in a fresh Kelly green (and of course, classic white). The short sleeve version comes in navy and a nautical stripe, and we added a sleeveless version in white, perfect for summer sports and travel.
Frank & Eileen also just launched the Eileen Ruffle Shirt in lightweight denim, available in both vintage stonewash and white. We restocked the Anna Long Sleeve Capelet in two colors and brought back our best-seller, the Rory Dress. The Montecito Sweater in white flew off our shelves last time, so we’ve restocked it in a beautiful eucalyptus hue and added a new style: the Cotswolds Cardigan, which makes me want to summer somewhere breezy where sweaters are a nighttime essential.
And finally, the Silvio Button Down is back in blue and white. It’s a true wardrobe staple, easy to wear year-round and always in style.
Come check out our expanded selection of Frank & Eileen at The Hive. These are elevated basics you’ll reach for again and again. Yes, they’re an investment—but once you feel the fabric and see the fit, you’ll understand why. They’re built to last and designed to live in.
