The Perfect Tee (Finally!) Has Arrived: Meet Sold Out NYC
I am always on the hunt for the perfect tee. If you’ve followed along for a while, you’ve probably noticed all the different brands I’ve brought in trying to nail that goal. We’ve found plenty we like—Lilla P always delivers, and I’ll never say no to a great Tibi tee—but I’ve been searching for one that’s consistent season after season. A go-to. The kind you know we’ll always have in stock, in every color you want.
Well, I think I’ve finally found it. The brand is Sold Out NYC, and we just unpacked a ton of it. I first discovered them this summer in a Vogue article raving about their perfect summer tank dress (which, yes, we ordered for spring—and it’s really good).
About a month ago, I was helping a customer and realized we had no basic t-shirts in stock. Cue my mini panic. I tracked down Sold Out NYC and was thrilled to find they keep their bestsellers stocked year-round. We started with the Iconic Tee in every color they offered—and it’s already a hit. Over time, we’ll add other styles too.
Of course, we couldn’t resist trying a few additional pieces. Since sheer is having such a big moment, we brought in a sheer silk button-down and a classic striped shirt—both instant favorites. I’d also heard amazing things about their sweaters, and they’ve absolutely lived up to the hype. We brought in a basic crew, an oversized crew, and this season’s must-have: the polo sweater.
