Will You Be My Galentine?
My husband and I have never been big Valentine’s Day people, mainly because I am not good with crowds and the first few years we lived here we tried to go out for Valentine’s in D.C. but I felt like I was sitting on the lap of the person at the table next to me. Fast forward about 10 year later and once my daughter became a toddler, Brad started taking her out on Valentine’s dinner dates, which I think is the sweetest thing ever. He claims he’s trying to set a high bar for whatever teenager asks her out first in a few years, and I’m all for that. While they are out, my son and I typically snuggle on the couch for Valentine’s day, but now I realize he would rather have a high school boy sitter come over and build Legos than snuggle with me. So I’m solo for the time being on the big date night of the year. Many customers tell us they don’t ever have time themselves, especially to shop, so last year we decided to start Galentine’s Day at The Shoe Hive. What better night to show yourself some love and treat yourself to a few hours of shopping with friends and maybe a glass of champagne and some sweet treats. You will receive 20 percent off all new merchandise, including the holiday-appropriate pink and red items below, homemade treats from Tallulah Norton (Penelope’s very talented sister), and a little something bubbly.
