Monday Musings
Some of us are still wrangling our goals–reckoning our dreams and aspirations against the harsh reality of time. While others, who have either defined their visions for the year ahead or have chosen to let time decide, are looking forward to the next round of festivities (we love to see it!). No matter where you are on this journey, our contributors have a little something for you. Look to Adrien for positive encouragement and advice for meaningful goals, and Amy for Valentine’s inspiration. And, don’t forget to reserve your ticket for a gorgeous night out with your girlfriends at Old Town’s Galentine’s celebration!
Adrien: When making promises to ourselves about our wellness for the new year, the likelihood of success will be determined by the resolution’s achievability, size, specificity, and how important the goal is to you. Also, coming from a place of positivity matters. Instead of making a negative resolution like “lose 10 pounds,” change your mindset and approach something positive and immediately achievable, like going on a daily walk, completing five push-ups, or adding two fruits and veggies to every meal. Dedicating ourselves to changing a small habit will yield far greater results than just weight loss. We can even gain confidence, determination, and an addition to our self-care routine.
Amy: Valentine's Day greetings are ready to be swept off our shelves at Penny Post and Red Barn Mercantile! We have sweet, saucy, and silly love letters for friends, family, and loves of any and all varieties. Be sure to have a look around our Friendship and Love collections, as well as our Valentine's Day collections, when searching for the perfect card! Why not go all out for Valentine’s Day in 2023?
Elizabeth: New Smythe has arrived at The Hive, and it is the perfect delivery to brighten up these gloomy days. There are pinks, greens, and florals to make us ready for spring. Enjoying bright colors is a 2023 resolution we can support! Stop in and see our newest arrivals from Smythe, Veronica Beard, Allude, and Joseph.
Britt: Remember, during lockdown, when puzzles were all the rage? Turns out they are still going strong for "Vacation Britt!" It's fun and easy to unwind with a puzzle, so I might need to break them out more this year!
