Sale To Sail Staff Picks

January is really a great time to shop. I know we are all paying off our credit card bills, but if you showed restraint this holiday season (I never do) or if you have a gift card burning a hole in your pocket, this is a great time to stop in. We have our annual clearance sale going on. Since we started a little late this year, we have sweetened the deal by giving 30 percent off the first item, 40 percent off if you buy two items, and 50 percent off if you buy three items - so long as they are all from one store. So clearly, there are great deals, and we have a large selection of markdowns at all three stores.

But January is a great time for new arrivals as well. I love the transition season deliveries. I think the designers have a more edited selection in this abbreviated time frame, and nothing makes it into the collection unless it is great. The styles also tend to be more versatile and have more staying power in your wardrobe. Of course, there are a few true Resort pieces that are perfect if you get the chance to go somewhere warm. But most pieces are “buy now, wear now” and can take you through spring.
