Big News For Alexandria Wellness And Fitness on the Run

Some big news and big changes are coming to Alexandria Wellness and Fitness on the Run this September 15th. What’s happening? Alexandria Wellness is launching new programs at a new location and Fitness on the Run is closing its doors.

Alexandria Wellness & 215 North Payne Street

Adrien Cotton, founder of Fitness on the Run and Alexandria Wellness (AW), is teaming up with Christopher Campagna, President & CEO of Braddock Commercial Real Estate Solutions to launch Alexandria’s first-of-its-kind premier wellness shared workspace community at 215 North Payne Street. As a team, Chris brings years of experience as a pioneer in developing innovative solutions in commercial real estate while Adrien brings 15+ years as one of Alexandria’s premier wellness gurus. Chris is creating an amazing space to serve those in Alexandria seeking to prioritize wellness and Adrien is thrilled to be his first tenant. Both Chris and Adrien are passionate about wellness and believe this new community is an amazing innovation in the exploding world of shared workspace. Designed to drive efficiency, productivity and critical work-life balance, 215 North Payne Street will enable small and medium-sized businesses to attract and retain top talent in a space that provides private workspaces, conference rooms, sound proof phone booths and much, much more. The anchor of the building will be a gym, similar in look and feel to Fitness on the Run, that embraces their shared philosophy: open layout and only essential equipment. There is also outdoor work and workout space and a café providing healthy food service.Chris is well respected and has a known track record within the community for creating innovative, and highly successful work spaces and was an initial investor and partner in ALX Community at 106 North Lee Street. He has multiple other properties in Old Town, though he admits that 215 North Payne Street is his “crown jewel.” He hopes this innovation will ignite and set the trend in the region and beyond for combining work with wellness. Adrien believes integrating fitness and wellness, along with workspace, is the perfect antidote to the “cortisol- charged” area.215 N Payne Street will also serve as the home to the ground-breaking Alexandria Wellness Program, a first-of-its-kind in the region. Research is abundantly clear that we cannot attain real wellness by pursuing fitness alone. Wellness encompasses our relationship to stress, sleep, nutrition, and how we think. We must work with all the pieces in an integrated way. This is AW’s approach. Adrien will be hosting open houses for the community to come and learn more:

  • • Tuesday, August 13th - ALX Community (106 North Lee Street, 2nd floor), 6:00 - 7:00 pm• Wednesday, August 21st at ALX Community, 6:00 - 7:00 pm• Saturday, September 21st at 215 N. Payne Street, 10:00 - 11:00 am• Saturday, September 28th at 215 N. Payne Street, 10:00 - 11:00 am

What does this mean for the Fitness on the Run Community?

If you have been following our newsletter and other announcements, you know that Adrien launched Alexandria Wellness in February. The demand for the program has been growing since the launch and member results have surpassed expectations. Not only are our clients achieving body composition goals, they are more knowledgeable about how to approach their wellness than ever before. What this means for the Alexandria community is that in the month of September, one door will be closing as another door opens. Fitness on the Run, located at 201 N Lee Street, will close its doors on September 14th, and Alexandria Wellness will open the doors to its new home at 215 North Payne Street on September 15th.As change always does, this news may bring excitement, sadness, trepidation, uncertainty, and perhaps a sense of opportunity and curiosity. This is natural and normal. We also know there will be many questions, and that is why we are hosting Town Hall meetings where people can attend, ask questions, as well as learn about the latest details of what is on the horizon. Please continue to follow this story as we release further details!
