On Trend: Dark Florals

When you ponder wearing floral clothing do you picture spring and “girly” prints? Put that thought aside and consider the dark florals of fall. It has been a trend for the past several years but it is in full bloom for autumn 2018! The floral colors are rich, dark hues of burgundy, deep rust, brick red, forest green, teal, and steel blue placed against a background of black or navy. These florals are so mysterious and moody that even the edgiest girl will approve!

Pair with Neutrals

Dark florals are bold and can stand alone. Pair these stunning tops with our DL 1961 black skinny jeans or our DL 1961 cream cropped flairs for a look that is classic and confident. If you are heading to a cocktail party, kick it up a notch and pair the tops with our faux suede leggings by Fifteen Twenty…sexy and sweet!

Casually Dramatic

A bold, dark floral blazer can add an unexpected yet gallant twist to your wardrobe. It can easily be paired with a mini skirt but why be predictable? Pair the blazer with a top that sports an asymmetrical hem and put on your best jeans. The jacket instantly becomes less formal should the mood strike!

OMG

Beautiful…perfect for cocktail parties, fall weddings, or date night. Almost too beautiful to take out of the box and definitely pair with your best heels.

Dark & Cheerful

For days when you want to curl up on the couch with a warm cup of tea and an excellent book there is, of course, the floral sweatshirt with dramatic and fun flowers…we don’t always have to embrace our dark side!
