I’m not usually one to focus on trends, but every so often something shows up again and again in the collections I see. This spring, it’s all about light, airy textures that feel easy and wearable, from sweaters to shoes. It’s a look that adds interest without trying too hard, and one that fits seamlessly into a real wardrobe.

Oddly, one of the brands we’re most often asked to bring back is also one of the most inexpensive lines we’ve ever carried: TKEES. Until now, nothing we’ve carried from their line has been more than $100. Ironically, the shoe that made me realize we needed to bring them back—the Julia—is more than that at $160, but it’s worth the price.

Rachel Comey knows how to do a cog, and this spring we picked two of their newer styles along with a great pump that literally goes with everything.

It is time for our first shoe event of the year, which is fitting because AGL is the first event we ever hosted at the store. I have mentioned before that AGL is the only brand we have in store that was on our shelves when we opened in 2003. I have a special attachment to this company and from March 26th-29th, it’s all 20% off.

We just wrapped up our Veronica Beard Trunk Show, and it was a huge success. Thanks to everyone who came out and supported us. Now it’s time for Ulla Johnson. Nothing says spring more than Ulla Johnson, and this season doesn’t disappoint. It might actually be my favorite since we started carrying the line.

Once again, I thought it would be fun to see what everyone at The Hive was looking to purchase from the Ulla Johnson spring collection and trunk show. I always ask my sales representatives, “What is on your personal order?” As a result, I’m sure our clients would like to know what was on ours.
